On August 4th the roadways of the Phoenix Park were drenched with the sweat and tears of the athletes who toiled in the final race in the Runways Duathlon Series.  AGS was represented proudly by 8 sturdy souls.  The race consisted of a 2.7k run, 8.5k cycle, 2.7k run, 8.5k cycle and finally a 2.7k run. With two cycles, three runs, four transitions, and five punctures, our eight warriors performed powerfully.  First home on the night was Karl McKenna in 64:15, he was closely followed by Mick "the Mucker" Harkin in 65:46. John Griffin was our third man home in 67:53 while Kevin P Grogan was a little further back finishing in 68:18.  Sean Collum produced a strong final leg and crossed the line in 72:14 with Jer Moloney completing the course in 74:52.  Paul O'Reilly and Owen Keane fought a close battle with Paul having 7 seconds to spare in the end.  They clocked 76:10 and 76:17 respectively.
