AGS had three warriors battle it out in the top group of this fledgling event in Kildare on Saturday July 24th, adventure racing supremo Kevin Grogan coached two of his protege's to fantastic performances.  The lads placed 4th, 9th and 12th overall in a competitive field.  Jason Miley was our first member home in 78m.20s.  While this was a powerful performance, Jason admitted to being a little disappointed at not grabbing a podium finish.  No doubt Grogan's grit is rubbing off on him.  Karl McKenna a well respected and decorated member of AGS Rowing Club, sailed home in 84m.40s taking 9th overall.  Obviously feeling the strain of a very intensive training programme for a future mountain running event, Kevin Grogan was first vet across the line and 12th in overall classification with an accumulative time of 88m10s.
