On Tuesday evening June 1st over 289 competitors tackled the latest BHAA offering in Dunboyne.  The race consisted of a fast 5 mile route through the Co. Meath countryside.  On a perfect evening for racing our Garda Team of Damian, Liam and John took bronze in the category C.  Damian Gannon lead home our troops finishing 70th in 31:24, with Liam Landers also scoring for the team in 125th with 33:31.  John Griffin secured the podium finish with 169th position in 35:51.  Bridget Buckley continues to improve with a solid run of 36:16 and 173rd overall.  Our ever reliable Hugh Reddy ran 43:49 gaining 265th place.  We also had a debutant in the BHAA series in the guise of Liam O'Neill.  A proud Meath mucker Liam has suffered with the marathon bug in 2009/2010 and found the shorter 5m distance a bit of a sprint.  Hopefully, he will continue to race the BHAA series as he made an impressive start running 32:47 and finishing 82nd overall.  Well done to all our runners and hopefully we will have some more bodies in the field soon.
