The event went as well as could be expected, given the horrendous wind conditions.
With winds gusts in excess of 18 knots it was not possible to take out dinghies, canoes or kayaks, but
2 intrepid (or perhaps crazy) sailors went out as did the skiff.
We were able to offer trips out in the RIB which was good.
Special thanks to Emma Smith for piping in front of the Boat Club & in the Skiff.
There was fantastic support from everyone involved in the Gairloch Boat Club, Gairloch Coastal Rowing Club
& Ewecanoe. The cakes & refreshments kept everyone going all day.
"Thank you" is just not enough for everyone involved in the whole event.
Without the support of a huge number of people it would not have worked.
Also the RYA provided lots of help & promotional material.
The highlight of the day was the Duck Race.
