A Little About Me...

My name is Woz Andrew, and as a young lad I coarse fished when and wherever I could in whatever weather. In my teenage years I found Fly Fishing and I became totally hooked... I fly fished and began Fly Tying into my late 20's. At this time in my life I fished predominately at Walkerwood Trout Fishery in Stalybridge, Cheshire.

My family and I moved back to the area where I grew up as a young teenager and where as a young man I Fly Fished...

I now live within 5 to 10 minute walk from my local fishery just a short walk up the farm track or through Stalybridge Country Park. So here I am totally addicted, obsessed, anything and everything that is Fly Fishing or Fly Tying, I can't get enough of…

I now have a medical condition called "Fly Fishing & Fly Tying OCD" (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)...

My personal best to date was taken from Walkerwood on a cold winters day with hailstone, wind, rain and the odd snow flurry. A Rainbow trout of 10lbs 14ozs taken on a size 16 black buzzer (midge pattern) with a 4lb tippet from the south path. A cracking fish fully finned hard fighting Rainbow Trout which took just over half hour to bring to the net.
