Today we remember Gunner William Henry Hansford (344) of the Royal Garrison Artillery. William was the son of Daniel John and Marian Hansford; husband of Dora Hansford, of 46, Morant Rd., Colchester, he was born at Ickham, Kent. He died on 23rd June 1916 and is buried in Colchester Cemetery.
William is commemorated by Dora Lockyer who has stitched his square which can be seen in the Gallery. Thank you Dora.
