On this day 3rd June 2014 - Lance Corporal W H Medley

Today 3rd June we remember Lance Corporal William Henry Medley who served with the Otago Regiment (NZRF). He died on 3rd June 1917 and is buried in La Plus Douve Farm Cemetery. William is being commemorated by Eileen Roulston who has stitched his square which you can view in the Gallery. Eileen tells me that she only found out about William after her mother died 7 years ago. Eileen does not think her mother knew she had a cousin who was killed in action in the First World War.
