Today 31st May we remember Able Seaman John Henry Mackinson who lost his life on board H.M.S. "Indefatigable." during The Battle of Jutland. John is commemorated on the Plymouth Navy Memorial. He was the son of William Mackinson, of Plymouth; husband of Annie Meaney (formerly Mackinson), of 43, Weare St., Bath Bridge, Bristol. He is being commemorated by Jacqueline Mackinson who has stitched his square which can be viewed in the Gallery. Thank You Jacqueline.
