Welcome to Fimocreations

Pictured above is a FIMO cake topper made for my nephews wedding. Although I have made and decorated cakes with icing previously, this was the first time that I had used FIMO polymer clay to produce the cake top centrepiece.  As such, it was a bit of a risk in taking on this daunting project for such an important occassion.  However, the results were amazing as you can see.  My nephew and his bride were very pleased with the finished product.  Especially as it was tailored to the brides specific requirements, to replicate the dress, accessories, and to add the fun factor in the grooms outfit.  My daughter helped throughout and not only made a fantastic contribution with modelling the bride but also made sure I didn't slack off and miss the all important deadline for completion!  On other pages of this site you will see how the cake topper project progressed, and I will give links to some of the sites I found useful in helping me when researching just how to use FIMO to such stunning effect.  You will also see some of the other bits and pieces I am working on now that I have been hooked on this craftwork.  I hope you find these useful.
