Where it all began.........

 

Two of us,

Chris and me. Back in 1996.

Decided that our town needed trails, as we were riding over at GYPO in Cleethorpes, and helped them dig and watched it grow.

We found a  perfect place on the edge of town, just off from Foxhills Road, this was to become FHT.

FHT had many changes, in design, size, as the beginnings were very simple, from a mud tabletop, growing to full 10 pack rhythm section, and 3 different lines,  this was 6 years ago.

It grew, and with it did the riders, we had Mave, Steve Metcalf, the grand Stoddy, Mouse, Faz, Bret, the magical  Girly Ian, Hudson, Famous little Mat, Big Mat, Stig, Egor the massive, Dannat, Major Tom, Mal, and more whos names will come through more as we all remember them.

The competitions, the laughs, the cooking, the digging, the injuries, the council, and the police.

 It just was what it was. 

It all came to a crashing halt around 2003, lack of interest, people moving on, political differences between us, the need to expand without the ability or motivation, the will to sustain what we had, and the bitterness it all caused, the family FHT, was no more.

A few attempts by others since, but nothing held up to the way it was, some good builds by Steve and crew, but it was non sustainable. We had lost the desires we once had.

Who did it belong to? Many asked, well it certainly wasn't me, nor Chris, nor Steves, it was OURS.

 And now???
