The Moray Council are holding a 2 day exhibition with the latest design proposals for the Western Distributor Road at the TA Hall in Edgar Road on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th October, before they submit a Planning Application

The Chairperson of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee announced to the committee members in August 2012 that the council had shown it was listening to the community in moving forward with the plans for the Western Distributor Road (WDR). The Chairperson obviously forgot about our demonstration in May.

The council are proposing to direct between 10,000 – 15,000 vehicles, daily, down Wittet Drive, Edgar Road, Glen Moray Drive, Springfield Road, Sandy Road, Birnie Road, Thornhill Road and Reiket Lane, in forming the new WDR – which effectively forms a new city centre bypass.

This is the last chance to show the council we don't want this road. As many people as possible should go down to the exhibition and say NO to the road.
