You may have noticed the banners at Connet Hill - The owners, Mr and Mrs Williamson, have engaged with the council in a bid to save their Category B-Listed property, to no avail. The council will not reconsider their proposal to adjust the position of the proposed roundabout junction and realignment of Sherriffmill Road, which will completely demolish the gardens of this wonderful property.

This complete unwillingness to investigate more innovative solutions is typical of both the council and their consultans, Jacobs, lack of respect for the community of Elgin, the town's historic environment and its sense of place. This proposal is completely contrary to the Scottish Policy, Designing Streets' in every detail.

Vandalising the town's historic features and landscape can be of no benefit to the residents or the community.
