Welcome to the Elgin Desiging Streets Action Group website.

Our Group, formed in July 2011, came together as a reaction to the Moray Councils' proposal for the Western Distibutor Road in Elgin, in particular the specific line of the route, lack of inspired design and over engineered junction details.

Our aim is to have the proposal amended to bring it in line with the Scottish Policy 'Designing Streets' principles.

Our objective is to retain our residential area's sense of place and secure a sympathetic design led solution to the junctions and movement. A solution for the community to celebrate not hate.

If our aim and objective are not met then we want to reject the road proposal completely.
