Professor John Hunter and his team will be on Eigg 16th June to 7th July to excavate at the old Kildonan graveyard in order to try to ascertain whether the site is that of St Donnans early monastery.

This would be a great chance to join in and to learn yourself what you may have seen on Time Team on the telly.  There will be guided tours of the site every Monday and volunteers are welcome to help with the dig.

Professor Hunter will also be giving two lectures at the Community Hall.  19th July-Early Christianity and 26th July Forensic Archeology,  both start at 7pm.
