was held on 10th January 2020

Green Maintenance Time

It's that time of year again when we are looking for your support in cleaning up around the Bowling Green, the Clubhouse and the Machinery Stores.

All of you are invited to spend as much or as little time as you can on

from about 9am to help Stewart and his team prepare our facility for the forthcoming bowling season.

Liquid and solid refreshment will be available throughout the day - tea, coffee, bacon butties etc.

Help required will include:

  •     mowing
  •     clearing the pathways
  •     general sweeping and tidying up around the Green
  •     spring cleaning the Clubhouse and surrounds
  •     cleaning the advertising signs
  •     emptying and sweeping out the Machine Stores
  •     making tea and other refreshments
  • plus anything else that Stewart can think of on the day!

Please come and join in the fun!!!

In the event of bad weather, we will re-convene on the following Saturday, the 14th March.

See you on the Green again next April

and hoping for better Bowling Weather in 2020

A big Thanks goes to all the Volunteers who

Cut the green, Clear the gutters, Shift the leaves

Volunteers are still needed for general treatment,

path cleaning, edging, etc.

Just Remember!

Many complements are paid by very experienced bowlers

to the superb condition of the Bowling Green

The excellent condition of the Green doesn't

happen by accident.

A lot of hard work and many thanks go out to

our Green Manager Stewart Beswick

and all the Volunteers

for their commitment and dedication

throughout the Season

Remember, HELP is always needed

and gratefully accepted at any time
