Congratulations to the Edgworth A Team

winning the Rambottom Doubles Cup Final 3-1 against Tottington A.

 


The Last Club Competition of the Season

on 29th September 2019

 

A Handicapped Singles Knock-out Competition

and Consolation Comp for First Round Losers

 

Register by 12:15 for 12:30pm start

 

All welcome for this last Comp of the Season

Sunday 8th September

The Gordon Vose Trophy

A drawn pairs knockout Competition

Winners: Ross Hatzer and Peter Vose who beat the

Runners-up: Kevin Breen and Gail Taylor 21-12 in the Final

 

The Losing semi-finalists were Lee Banks & Ken Brookes and Frank Pendlebury & Alistair Morrision

The Consolation competition won by John Haslam & Sarah Booth who beat Eileen Hogarth & Joan Turner 21 – 18 in the Final.

Peter Vose is the son of Gordon Vose, so the winning pair was particularly apt, we also got Gordon Vose’s grand-daughter to present the trophy along with our chairman Joyce Makinson

There were 13 pairs playing some close games on a fine but cool afternoon

 


 

 

 

Wishing everybody a great enjoyable Bowling Year -

A big Thanks goes to all the Volunteers who

Cut the green, Clear the gutters, Shift the leaves

Volunteers are still needed for general treatment,

path cleaning, edging, etc.

Just Remember!

Many complements are paid by very experienced bowlers

to the superb condition of the Bowling Green

The excellent condition of the Green doesn't

happen by accident. 

A lot of hard work and many thanks go out to

our Green Manager Stewart Beswick

and all the Volunteers

for their commitment and dedication

throughout the Season
