The losing semi-finalists were Kevin Breen and Susan Beswick,

and Margaret Turtington and Ian Price

For the first in a few weeks, the weather was kind and 16 members turned up

 to make good competitive games

On Sat 10th August we had

The Sue Holt Trophy

organised by Kerry Holt

Kerry braves the weather

Like everybody else did

Well most ....

It started with a heavy drizzle, became torential, and settled down to a steady downpour which flooded the green and prevented further bowling.

Thanks to Kerry for organising and providing all the refreshments,

to Catherine, Maureen and Susan for looking after it all,

and the 22 optimists who came to play.

Apart from watching the rain, the main entertainment was Peter Oakes playing Paul Booth corner to corner and nearly reaching despite the flood.

happen by accident.
