Bowling Club Website
Reformed in 1987 after a period of non use, the bowling club has sustained a membership of around 50 members till the present day. First President of the new era was Raymond Hetherington (1987), who still plays an active part in the day to day activities. The green, managed by Jack Burnett and his team, is well maintained and brings regular praise from visiting teams and players. The Clubhouse has been upgraded over the years and is well suited to providing hospitality to Club members and visitors alike.
The Club is affiliated to the DBA.( Dumfries bowling association) and the SBA District 31 ( Scottish bowling association), and plays all tournaments to SBA rules.
Tournaments are organised through the governing bodies and set with other clubs in the yearly syllabus. The club has 7 open tournaments organised throughout the season, and all these are kindly sponsored by local businesses:
