East Kilbride Arts Council was formed in 1980.  Its purpose being to further democratise the decisions being made in East Kilbride that affect the local voluntary Arts organisations.

The representation on the council is designed to include all interested Voluntary Arts organisations, local authority officers, elected members, and specialist advisers as invited or required.

For over 30 years we have successfully organised festivals, exhibitions, twinning exchanges, and have made available
grant support for both individuals and organisations and a host of new initiatives to promote and develop the Arts within East Kilbride.

Our executive committee meets eight times a year to consider Arts matters which will appeal to all tastes and interests of people in the community.

We warmly welcome input from the wider community.
