Council Tax Information

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has raised council tax by 1.94%.   The Dyffryn Clydach Community Council is very proud to announce that their precept is frozen for the fourth year running.   This is compared with a 22% rise with the precept of the neighbouring Blaenhonddan Community Council, which includes Bryncoch South the other side of the boundary - as well as Bryncoch North, Cadoxton and Clifrew.

The Blaenhonddan Community Council has a Labour majority compared to Dyffryn Clydach, which is Plaid Cymru.  

A Labour representative claims that the figure of 22% (given to us from several sources) is wrong and claims that is should read 18.9%.   His comments have been passed to Plaid Cymru members for their comments. 

Follow up     A Plaid Cymru councillor states that the figure of 22% was mentioned by the clerk of the council in a newsletter she sent out.
