Thanks Andrew. However, according to the records that I have, Jenny was born in 1906 and died in 1960. This photo shows her at about 4 or 5 years of age, so the date of birth I have must be wrong. Nearer 1900 you think?

What about Margaret? I remember meeting Aunt Maggie who visited Meg and Anna at Kilmartin in 1968 from America. Her married name was Fogo and she was a sister of Alex Dunn. Also, I wonder about the names Agnes and Nancy. I think they are the same name, Nancy being the pet name for Agnes (like Catherine and Kate, Elizabeth and Betty, etc.)

Thanks Catriona. The census of 1901 has both an Agnes and a Nancy, though 'Nancy' could be Mary or even Maggie, I suppose, as it is difficult to read. You can see a scan of it here - picture #117. As you'll see, Agnes is 5th from the top of the list, and Nacny/Mary/Maggie/Margaret 9th. Maybe you can make this name out better than me?

I have looked at the handwritten census return of 1901 and think that 'Nancy' is indeed Maggie. I also am sure that back row left is Maggie. Louis has shown me a list that Aunt Maggie wrote while in this country of her siblings with dates of birth. Hers is given as 31 May 1893 making her 11 or 12 in the 1905 picture.

Thanks Catriona. But now I'm really confused ;)
Louis sent me a photocopy of the same document written by Maggie, but suggested that Maggie was Agnes' given name. This would have meant there were two Maggies in the family - one christened Maggie, the other Christened Agnes but called Maggie.
Am I just getting in a muddle? If so, I'd be very grateful if you could de-muddle me.
(Catriona emailed me a corrected list of names, and the caption below the picture has been changed to reflect this. Any other mistakes are mine, of course ;)
