Drayton's of Shrewsbury

The Drayton's of Shrewsbury were mainly from around the Frankwell Area and had had many business interests and occupations over the years.

Draytons Passage in Shoplatch Shrewsbury was named after the family when George Drayton owned a printers at 5 Shoplatch, which is now known as "The Drayton" and is a restaurant come chip shop. The family seem a very well off family amid some tragedy that fell on the family.

The further I have gone back is a Robert Drayton, Robert married Jane Lewis Born 1723 c in Lydham Shropshire.

Robert and Jane had two children that I know of, 1) Martha Drayton and 2) John Drayton.

John was born in 1743 in Westbury Shropshire and his sister Martha was born in 1750 Westbury Shropshire  and Died 22nd June 1822 in Westbury Shropshire.

On this website is the research I have done to date and if anything new is found I will update the site.

The Tree is on Ancestry for The Drayton's and has had been interesting to research and I continue to search for other families connected.
