At present all summer day and evening walks have been cancelled in light of the current Government advice to minimise social contact. It is now unlikely that this will change for the duration of the summer programme.
However a number of Members are keen to start some walks if possible. At the moment, with 2 metre social distancing, we will nearly all have to have our own cars so need a big starting Car Park and also, we cannot take the people who have no cars. So, we have decided that we will do 3 walks in the Dingwall area, starting at 10am from the usual carpark on Saturdays - 12th September, 10th October, and 14th November.
There are various options – flat, hilly, wooded and open to the sea. Decision on which one, which day will come nearer the time. Maybe later we can also have an afternoon walk instead of a talk but will wait and see how things go.
The Club AGM has been cancelled in the meantime. If we are able to hold a programme of winter talks they will be in St James' Church Hall, Castle Street at 2pm on the second Thursday of each month. We hope we may be able to arrange afternoon talks from January onwards.
Any changes to our programme will be shown on this website. Please check here or call 01349 864661 for more information. In the meantime please take care and stay safe.
