This is a pictorial log of our "self build" french home extension which we will endeavour to update at intervals. Hope we don't bore you all !! As of 1st Sept., we are awaiting delivery of roof materials & praying for good weather for the next few weeks.Roof timber & tiles finally arrived after 5/6 weeks delay. We are working flat out to make it weather proof. Ready to start tiling at 4th Oct.2006 A violent windstorm of 145 Km/hr ripped off all the bitumen cladding, no electricity or water for 24 hours, just prior to tiling. We re-clad & pressed on. Roof now tiled & complete(apart from gutters). Windows fitted & just door to be fitted to make it secure. hurrah!!
