Welcome to Cowal Bat Group

Cowal Bat Group is a small group, with just a handful of members, led by the Chairman Andy Kerr. We are enthusiastic and keen to develop the group, so welcome all the support we can get. We are currently needing a Secretary, so if you feel you can help, please get in touch.

Cowal is a good place for bats, with plenty of habitat (water, wetland and trees) and opportunities for roosts (buildings old and new, trees, caves and industrial buildings).

With batworkers thin on the ground there is much to be learnt about bats in Cowal. If you are interested in learning more, contact us direct or come along to some of the bat walks that take place during the course of the year.
