Reach Out
NHS Highland are launching a new campaign called "Reach Out" which aims to tackle loneliness & social isolation by offering support to those who need it. The launch will take place on Friday, 20th May in Drakies Primary School at 2pm. Go to the community cafe in the school hall.
Research suggests that social isolation and loneliness has a significant affect on people’s health and wellbeing. Mental Health Foundation (2015) suggest Self harm (most common in 11 -25 year age group which includes cutting, scalding, burning, scratching, hair pulling) can often result from a number of contributory factors of which social isolation is often one.
