Former Pye Factory Recreation Grounds

The City Council is about to take over the former Pye/Philips recreation ground (not to be confused with Pye Rec. in Church Street) and is talking to some interested groups about its future development.

The Association wants to ensure that the views of the wider community are fully considered before large sums of money are spent.

Ideas already put forward include

• Gym
• Trim trail
• Bandstand
• Youth shelters
• Squash courts
• Public and community art
