After a very wet afternoon, six club members made it out to Thompson Common for an evening walk/photography session. The idea of the evening was to see how the light changed during the "golden hour" and we were not disappointed. When we arrived, the light was bright and the pools were reflecting the sky nicely. Then as we made our way along the trail, we soon realised it was an evening of changing skies as we witnessed towering clouds, mist and then a slightly eerie sunset. It was an interesting challenge getting the camera settings right with such rapidly changing conditions. If you have not been to this part of the area, it is well worth a visit, especially during the early morning or evening.
