Focus group
Hi there,
I am contacting you from a research agency in London.
We would like to talk to people from the rural areas around Inverness, and for them to attend a focus group will take place in central Inverness.
Do you have somewhere on your site where I could promote this group, put up a little poster? - there is a £40 incentive for any participant!

website
Hello! Just wondering where the address/postcode for the community centre is. I'm sure I'm just missing it but I can't find it! Could it go on the home page or the centre info page. Thank you!

Hi Sarah. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The post code you request is never used by the committee as we are all volunteers and tend to work from home except when we have our regular meetings.

Contact is normally by phone or email and any postal correspondence is normally sent to our bookings clerk at her home address. All this information can be found on our website:

"Centre Information - Booking" :

Booking forms etc are available for download from our library.

Members of the committee are not in attendance at the hall on a regular basis but if you still wish to write, the address is: Cawdor Community Centre, Cawdor, Nairn IV12 5XZ.

war memorial
The mcgregors whose names are inscribed on the war memorial at cawdor were my late husbands uncles. I was able to discover how bravely they fought by visiting Cameron Barracks Inverness many years ago and can be contacted on my E mail address for more information

Cawdor War Memorial has its own website which can be reached through our war memorial page. I think your comment would be of value to visitors there.

local architecture?
I'm sure that the new facilties of the Centre are a welcome addition to the lives of the local community. But is that building really the best the designers could do - in a historic conservation village?

In the open expanse of a field, with the lurid red paint scheme, railings, and expanses of tarmac, it looks more like an fire station that has landed from some alien planet than an organic part of a historic village. Shame on the developers - whose school report should say "could have done a lot better".

John Rose-Miller
I corresponded about 9-10 years ago with John Rose-Miller concerning the Clark family of Barevan. Can you please tell me if he is still in the area and if he is still living at Wester Barevan? Thanks.
