Welcome to the village of
Caston, Norfolk, England.

The Village Green June 2006 by Brian Brooker

May Morning
Give me a morn in Maytime,
When the cuckoo sings in flight;
When the blossom on the apple tree
Is a froth of pink and white.
Give me the Norfolk landscape,
With a wide expanse of sky;
Where Caston Mill stands sentinel
As all the years run by.
Give me the morning early,
When the year is at the Spring;
When joyful swallows dart and dive,
Taking breakfast on the wing.
Give me a dewy meadow
Where gentle Friesians roam;
Give me the fragrance of Maytime
And you’ll find my heart at home.
