It was with utter disbelief that we heard the tragic news on Thursday morning of the sudden passing of our friend and committee member Denis McCullough. We had the pleasure of Denis’s company when getting ready for the our annual show and sale in Hilltown on Tuesday night and all day on Wednesday at the sale. Denis was a hard working man all his life and expected the same of those around him. While he may have been a man of few words anything he said was always succinct and to the point and always well worth listening to. His big interest in life, outside of his family, was his farm and his blackface sheep and he dedicated his live to improving his own flock and the breed in general in Northern Ireland. The massive crowd who visited the house over the weekend and attended the funeral from all over Ireland and from Scotland truly reflected the esteem in which Denis was held by everyone who knew him or had any contact with him. To his wife Geraldine, his sons Aidan, Martin and Conor, daughters Denise and Maria, brothers Jimmy, Frankie and Michael and sisters Geraldine and Ann and to the entire McCullough family circle we offer our deepest sympathy and condolence.
We cannot even start to imagine what you are going through but our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time .
Denis may the Clanvaraghan sod rest lightly on your breast.
