Congratulations to Peter Morgan on becoming Irish National Sheep Dog Champion

Congratulations to Peter Morgan on becoming the third member of the Castlewellan Blackface committee to become Irish National Champion by winnning the Irish National Sheep Dog Trial with Mosse recently in Killarney. Peter now has the honour of captaining the Irish team when they compete in the 2021 International Sheep Dog Trials which takes place from 10th to 12th September 2021 in  Aberystwyth in Wales. He follows in the footsteps of fellow committee members Frankie McCullough and John Maginn who have both had the honour of captaining Ireland at the International Trials by virtue of both having been Irish National champions in past years.

It will be very much a family affair as Peter's son thirteen year old Peter Og will also be representing Ireland in the Young Handlers competition having won the Irish National Young Handler competition with his dog Tip in Killarney.

John Maginn will also be representing Ireland in the international this year in the Brace competition with his dogs Kate and Lad.

We wish all three competitors good luck in Wales in September
