Amazing new archaeological discovery

Amazing new archaeological discovery reveals a mass burial in Cramond, Edinburgh dating from around 450 to 550AD. One of the male burials aged over 45 has had isotype analysis carried out to reveal he could have grown up on the Isle of Canna. Questions remain that he could have been an early local saint or monk or more likely a secular warrior attracted to the court of the Goddodin. Pictured here is a facial reconstruction of one of the burials. An exhibition of the finds is on display at the museum of Edinburgh until the 27th of February 2016. www.scot.sh/hsxmuse
