Day 1 Spey Bay to Boat O' Brig

A very good day was had by all. To start with the weather was sunny and breezy which is always a good way to start your walk. Seven horses and ponies in total turned up with riders and walkers. A quick photo shoot for the Banffshire Advertiser and the followers supporting Candy and then it was off to Fochabers as the first half of this section.
A very happy and cheerful bunch arrived at Fochabers where there was a stop for ice cream at the Fochabers Ice Crean Parlour. Sheila sell some wonderful ice ream and everyone including Foxy enjoyed them.
The next half of the route had a down and up steep switchback section in it which did test the horses Ponies and riders and walkers. Everyone manage it well and after a short rest pressed on for the finish.
The was an incident at the end of the walk however I can report that both pony and rider are doing fine.
So day one has been completed and a tired but happy creww retired for some well earned sleep.
