Our Love Is Hatred

I heard a preacher say one time "Our love for our children is hatred compared to the Love God has for us."At first I got offended by this statement because I know how much I love my children and how much I would and have sacrificed for them. I know others parents as well that have sacrificed so much for their children it is unreal. Perfect example; check out the video below. After looking at it finish reading this blogBut the more I pondered this statement the more I came into agreement with it. Why? Because GOD IS LOVE! His is a love that really can't be explained. We can only describe it with our finite capabilities and He is an infinate God!
Even though He left a Love letter behind which is His Word it is still explained through Human vessels. I find myself at a lost to explain how much He truely cares. When confronted with His love I am overwhelmed that He loves me so much! "The eyes of my understanding has been enlighted and I DO know what is the hope of His calling." And yes I do know the "Love of Christ that passes all understanding."
Yet and still in all of this His Love can only be explained through earthen vessels and we will not get the totality of His Love until we see Him face to Face.You see there is nothing more powerful than love. The love of God, in fact, is relentless. I read where Francis Thompson calls God, who is Love, "The Hound of Heaven." His love is a love that never stops pursuing and giving, pursuing and giving until the object of His love, y-o-u is loved into submission!
Consider with me the following from 1 John 4:9-11."By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
He has given us the longest book ever written declaring the love of its Author for us. Page after page, line after line, word after word, proclaims the love of God for us.
Some of you may be at a point in your life where you just don't feel like God loves you. Some of you may not even believe He loves you. The Bible is God's love letter to the world telling you that you are loved, and not by just anyone, but by the only One who can love you, as His unique, one-of-a-kind creation, needs to be loved.
God IS Love.
In fact, God is perfect love. He loves you perfectly?which means that He loves you the most beneficial way that you need to be loved at any moment in time.
All that God has initiated and declares in His Word, which is truth, calls out to you and me for one thing?a response of faith?to take Him at His Word. "God is more concerned with our acceptance of His faithfulness than the demonstration of our own!"
