Land's End to John O'Groats 2010

This website has been created because, in August 2010 we plan to travel from the most southern part of Britain to the most northern part of Britain - also known as Land's End to John O'Groats. We plan to do this journey to raise money for The St David's Foundation, Hospice at Home Care. This Charity helped my late husband John Griffiths spend his last few months at home with his family, pets and friends, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Our son, Tom is joining me (Chris) on this 2000 mile journey too - which I am really glad about since we intend travelling in a 1974 VW Campervan...

I am desperately trying to recover from an injury I sustained at work when a patient fell onto me causing my bowel to rupture - yep - it sounds yuk and it was. I've had to have 6 inches of black/dead bowel cut out because of this patient falling on me! I now have a scar from under my ribs to my pubic bone - going to get a zip tattoo near it one day!

I am determined to get better and start walking again as soon as I can. I can't drive just yet but I WILL!

Yay, I can drive now!  The campervan named GiGi is MOT'd. Taxed and Insured and ready to go.
