Organic beef values have firmed to 380p/kg, a modest premium over conventional cattle, which offers some encouragement going forward. Organic lambs are in very short supply and a healthy premium is achievable, with organic lambs reaching 565p/kg in the last week. This premium is extremely encouraging and we would urge organic sheep producers to strike whilst the iron is hot! Please keep in touch with us as it may well be worth drawing lambs at lighter weights whilst the trade is so buoyant.
