Organic cattle continue to trade at 525p kg, but they seem to have hit the buffers as far as price goes at this time. It is a worry that consumers may start to look at alternatives if the price goes much higher in these challenging times. Organic lamb is still attracting a useful premium and we are managing to keep our feet clear at the moment, but this will become increasingly harder as more supplies come to market. On the Organic store sales side of the business Farm Stock are currently trying to source cattle 450kg upwards.
