All Organic produce is finding ready market at this time, with beef the star
performer with prices in approaching 500p/kg,for the best kinds. Lamb sales have also
been good lately and it seems there is more around at this time than last year, with
prices in the region of 520p/kg.

We feel something has to done to iron out some of
the massive peaks and troughs in Organic lamb marketing and we will be looking in
to various possibilities before the next marketing season commences. It is also very
encouraging that most of the store cattle being sold just now are being retained in the
Organic sector, although not in Scotland unfortunately.
