Home Nations
The RFC fielded 3 players in the annual Home Nations match.  Kon Tomczyk & Peter Beresford (playing with Stewart Spencer) as Wales 6, and Tansy Mayfield (playing with Gemma Foster & Julie bailey) as Wales 5 competed in cracking weather at Monkstone, Penylan. The heavier ground served the English well with their full length shooting and high points.  As a result, England ran away with the competition, with Wales in 2nd place, and Scotland (who are more used to smooth, rolling pistes) trailing in 3rd after struggling on the rough ground.  Hearty thanks to RFC member Barbara Vaughan who did a great job as team manager, and to the club members of Penylan who did the club and the country proud with their excellent set up, and support.
