This website has been created for the use of the Burnbanks Management Company, so that those who need to can have easy access to various documents.  These people will have password access to the secure area of the site - the security being for the protection of personal data and to ensure that master copies of documents are protected.

If we think of other more interesting things to add in due course, these will be freely available to everyone.  Meanwhile, this is the confusing number system for the houses:

And here is a lyrical description more or less taken from a property brochure:

Burnbanks has its origins as a settlement which housed those employed in the construction of the Haweswater Reservoir over 70 years ago but there is little at all now remaining of that original village which at one time included 68 dwellings as well as a mission, a recreation hall, canteen, sports hall and tennis courts. The current village is described as a "stylish re-birth."  The idyllic setting is now quiet with modern bungalows and houses arranged around peaceful cul-de-sacs and the village green giving little indication of the village's industrious past. Red squirrels, deer and birds of an astounding variety are perhaps the most frequent visitors today along with walkers who appreciate the quiet setting or who perhaps are on the coast to coast long distance footpath which passes through. The valley is home to England's last resident Golden Eagle and includes the Haweswater Nature Reserve.
