Foundation Degree in Community Development & Cross-sector Collaboration
UHOVI’s Foundation Degree in Community Development & Cross-sector Collaboration gives you, as a worker or volunteer bringing about change in a community, the chance to make a difference and boost your own career.
On the course you will learn about working with communities and relevant organisations in the development of sustainable projects that contribute to community regeneration. You will study different aspects of working with communities including approaches to community engagement, understanding theory and policy and practice.
To earn a place on the course you will need to demonstrate a supervised placement within a community development role whether this is in a paid or unpaid capacity.

The Course Part-time: 2.5 - 3 years
Lectures take place on Wednesdays from 9.30am – 4pm in Ebbw Vale.

UHOVI (Universities Heads of the Valleys Institute) is a strategic partnership between the University of Glamorgan and University of Wales, Newport. Anyone over school age living or working in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf or Torfaen can study with UHOVI.
Applicants from outside these counties are welcome to apply for UHOVI courses, subject to availability.
