Once again The Ryder Cup proved it’s probably the most entertaining event in golf as 24 of the best players in the world gave their all to win the coveted trophy. Despite the immense pressure the core values of sportsmanship, respect and dignity were maintained by everyone involved. Perhaps the best example being at the first tee when the European player received a tumultuous welcome and the USA opponent was warmly welcomed and you could have heard a pin drop when both teed off. The course and facilities were excellent as was the infrastructure for moving the vast amount of fans around in atrocious conditions, so well done Europe and well done Wales, Scotland has a hard act to follow!
