Summer Outing 2010
15 September 2010

This year's outing was a Mystery Tour, for a few weeks it was great fun trying to guess where we were going, as Lorraine and Lippy only had a rough idea themselves (it was all dependant on the weather) it really was a mystery.

The day started with bright sunshine and Macleod's Coach set off with Margaret Munro at the wheel collecting clients from Embo, Dornoch and Bonar Bridge.  Once everyone was on board it was over the Struie heading south.  The first stop was at the Priory in Beauly for lunch, then a look around the village shops before setting off again.

The next part of the journey was into the Black Isle past Cloutie Well and on to Fortrose where we put Margaret's driving to the test at Chanory Point, a difficult manover was required to get the bus safely round a very narrow road with cars parked on either side.  We headed towards Cromarty then on to Culbokie where Jimmy Mackenzie told us he once lived.

To round off the day we went to Dingwall Station Cafe for tea and cakes, then home exhausted but happy.
