.“Bonnie Rait “was officially formed in April 2010 as part of the Take a Pride in Perthshire (TPiP) Campaign.

The key areas of activity centre on environmental improvements and conservation initiatives, rehabilitating derelict sites, landscaping improvements and floral enhancements.

Initially, “Bonnie Rait” earmarked several areas in Rait village where it was felt we could enhance and improve the appearance of various spots by clearing weeds followed by appropriate planting of grass and plants.

The group has a healthy number of members and volunteers who have already proven to be willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Two areas have been tackled already and are a work in progress. Also, you may have noticed the tubs of colourful flowers on the roadside at the entrance to the village.

Bonnie Rait will be meeting approximately every 2 or 3 weeks in Annat Hall at 7:30pm and anyone from the village who would like to come along to take part would be very welcome. We'd like to hear your ideas for any projects we could undertake to help us improve the appearance and interest of the village.
