Remembering July 2016, when a delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo visited Wales to trace the links between the two countries. They focused on two towns, Colwyn Bay - the site of the African Institute, and Denbigh, the home town of 19th century explorer and journalist Henry Morton Stanley.

1.15 Tim Jeal - author of 'Stanley' to talk about what Stanley hoped for when he started to work on the Congo for King Leopold. And then Tim will describe what actually happened, based on his extensive research of the recently released papers which enabled him to write the book. (20 mins and presentation)
