We are off to Parliament on November 9th to receive the nationally important Green Apple Award.

This trip is costing us a heap of money but it would be churlish not to show up when our activities, abilities and achievements are being celebrated.
The award has been given to us in recognition of our work for Chester-le-Street District Council and a wide range of schools in the North East of England.
Our motto is "Bringing Science to Life" and that is what we have done as the key delivery agent for a three year long Access to Nature Project.
Initial funding from Chester-le-Street District Council of £4,800 and our work with pupils, staff and parents has led to a range of practical and scientifically valid environmental activities becoming embeded in the culture and learning experience of the North East.
Proof that these activities are valued is abundant, not least of which is the over £14,000 independently raised by and spent in local schools over the last two years.
