This week we have had tremendous success with seashore visits. Schools and Companies have attended several sessions at low tide where participants have fished in rock pools, discovered the mystery of worm poo and got well stuck into mudflats. These sessions are part of our annual cycle of events and are becoming increasingly popular. Lighthouses, how and why they function, have been included this year as children are able to learn the basics of navigation and simple Design & Technology in making functional models in class as an extension exercise. This link with navigational systems is further extended by practical PE and Dance sessions involving how bees communicated about food and how jellyfish move and hunt their prey.
