Biological Services have just finished helping Chester-le-Street District Council Leisure Services and local primary schools plant appropriate woodland and pond plants at the Riverside wildlife area on the Wear. The work was to complete a scheme aimed at flood protection designed by the Environment Agency and contracted to Lumsden & Carol civil engineers. Biological services were called in for their specialist knowledge and proven ability to help pupils of all ages and abilities relate to nature.
