Welcome to the Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire LBAP Website

The Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) was launched on the 1st of April 2004 at the University of the West of Scotland.

The Local Biodiversity Action Plan covers the Council areas of Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire. It is a partnership initiative between these local authorities and a range of conservation organisations. It includes a range of actions for identified habitats and species which will increase local biodiversity. The LBAP will also be used to raise awareness of biodiversity in the area and to involve everyone including local communities, landowners, scientists, industries and business in the process.

Local priority species and habitats have been chosen from those highlighted in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan and by the Scottish Biodiversity Group, to also reflect locally important species and habitats. Action Plans included in this website are for these local priorities.
